Speaker Cable

Posted on 30th August 2009 in Cable and Satellite TV

The speaker cable is used to make electrical connection between the loudspeakers and audio amplifiers. Like the other linear electrical component, the speaker cable has three components such as capacitance, resistance and inductance that determine its performance. There would have been no capacitance, no resistance and no inductance if the cable was perfect. The perfect speaker cable is short in length so that its resistance decreases as its length decreases in all the conductors. The resistance is the property which has the most effect on the performance of this type of cable whereas; the inductive and capacitive characteristics of this cable are considered small as compared to the loudspeaker. This type of cable is useful for home use only if its resistance is maintained less than 5% of the speaker’s impedance.

Computer Network Installation

Posted on 29th August 2009 in Communication

Computer network installation has become an essential prerequisite for any efficient modern-day business as it allows employees to truly work as a team by sharing information, accessing the same database and staying in touch constantly. For a computer network to give the best results, a lot of detailed planning and foresight is required before installation.

Firstly, an organisation needs to clearly define its requirements – how many people would use the network, how many would use it locally (within the office) and how many might require remote access (from a different location), how many computers and other devices (servers, printers, scanners) would be connected to the network, what are the needs of the various departments and who would be in charge of running/managing the network.

Multi-Function Printer

Posted on 29th August 2009 in Office Electronic

Does anyone remember the days when printers were simple? It was a pleasant time, with the possible exception being that printing a document involved sending a noise through the building that sounded much like a railroad train flying off its track. If you were a home user, then it was almost impossible to do this at night because it woke up the entire household. In a business it was possible, but it did a great job of disrupting the work environment. The good old days. Then there were the days of the scanner. Many people believed that this was a great invention, in fact few would argue against that viewpoint. It allowed documents to be instantaneously scanned into a computer for later viewing and even editing. This digitisation also meant that a person would be able to send their documents over long distances without needing to mail them.

Posted on 28th August 2009 in Office Electronic

Barcode Printers are devices for printing barcode labels or tags that can be attached to physical objects. Barcode printers are commonly used to label cartons before shipment, or to label retail items with Universal Product Codes. Every item you purchase on today’s market will have a barcode on it that will be easily read by the Barcode Scanners, the cashier uses to read the code. The parallel lines hold information of the items such as price, what it is, etc. Once the code is read, it will automatically ring up the price of the item quickly so they can scan the next item. The need for bar codes is increasing these days along with its popularity. Since the bar codes are an electronic system of identification, their usage has increased manifolds.
