However, try and compare a reverse phone lookup with her much older sister, a standard directory assistance service. Tens of thousands of people carry out reverse cell phone lookups on the internet everyday. The number is surely a daunting one. But all of them have a very valid reason for doing it.

One of the commonest reasons is people trying to find out if their spouses are cheating on them. They can find out the exact Name, Age, Address etc. of all the people their spouses have been talking to on their cell phones Another common reason is parents trying to check on their children’s friends Another is crank callers

Whatever the reason may be, there are a few options for you!

White pages – this won’t help you with cell phone numbers. Cell numbers are ‘unlisted’ on free public phone books because they’re protected by privacy laws. Cell numbers are considered ‘personal’ in contrast to land numbers which are considered ‘public domain’. This is why you don’t get a Verizon phone directory delivered to your doorstep every year! Private investigators – this used to be the best and only option about 6-7 years ago. They charged exorbitant amounts of money, so naturally, only a few people made use of them. Online reverse phone directories – this is the best option by a mile due to many reasons. You can get instant results, it is completely confidential, you can look up as many cellular numbers as you like, and in addition to the name and address you can find a bunch of other information about the phone owner.
